Field Service Engineer

<p>Job Title: <strong>Field Service Engineer</strong> Location: <strong>Oisterwijk, Netherlands</strong> Employment Type: <strong>Full-time</strong> Work Experience: <strong>3–5 years</strong> Education: <strong>Secondary Vocational Education (MBO)</strong></p>
<h3>General Description</h3>
<p>The Field Service Engineer is responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and installing and commissioning machinery at customer sites. In addition, the role involves carrying out repairs and overhauls in the workshop. The position requires both mechanical and electrical expertise, a high degree of autonomy, and a customer-oriented mindset.</p> Approximately 70% of working time is spent on-site at customer locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.</p>
<h3>Main Tasks</h3>
<ol>
<li>Independently performing preventive maintenance on machinery at customer locations.</li>
<li>Analyzing and resolving mechanical and electrotechnical malfunctions.</li>
<li>Installing, testing, and commissioning new machinery at customer locations.</li>
<li>Carrying out repairs and overhauls in the workshop.</li>
<li>Verifying the quality, safety, and operation of systems in accordance with applicable standards.</li>
<li>Reporting on work performed and any notable issues.</li>
<li>Communicating with a customer-focused approach and providing advice where necessary.</li>
<li>Contributing ideas for improvements to maintenance and service processes.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Required Work Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>3–5 years of experience as an independent service or maintenance technician.</li>
<li>Experience with mechanical and electrotechnical tasks.</li>
<li>Experience with on-site service work is an advantage.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Required Education Level</h3>
<p>Technical education at a minimum of MBO 3 level (Dutch vocational qualification). An MBO 4 qualification in Mechatronics is an advantage.</p> </p>
<h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of electrical and mechanical schematics.</li>
<li>Experience in reading technical drawings.</li>
<li>Experience with industrial machinery or machine construction.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of control systems and sensor technology.</li>
<li>Must hold a valid Category B driver’s license (required).</li>
<li>VCA certification is an advantage.</li>
